Alexandria Price, ATC, LAT

Alex joined OrthoMemphis in 2015 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Murray State University. She will be working full time at the Hutchison School as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. As a former gymnastics coach and with over 1000 hours of clinic experience, Alex will be asset to the Hutchison Athletics Programs and student athletes.

Chris Smith, ATC, LAT, M.ED.

Chris Smith, ATC, LAT, M.ED. is the head certified athletic trainer for Hernando High & Middle Schools. With over 11 years of experience with professional, college, high school, and middle school athletics, Chris has a wealth of knowledge for optimizing sports performance,  providing injury prevention, and managing injuries. He completed his Master of Education from Delta State University and Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Tennessee. OrthoMemphis is thrilled to have Chris on our team.

Brooks Turner, ATC

Brooks has spent over eighteen years taking care of high school, college, and professional athletes as a certified athletic trainer. His wealth of athletic training experience includes professional tennis, NBA charity tournaments, MTV Sports and Music Festival, University of Memphis Athletics, Panola County High Schools, and DeSoto Central High School. After spending 10 years as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Brooks is prepared to manage almost any medical emergency. He is thrilled to spend his days at DeSoto Central High School taking care of our most important student athletes.

Adam Haney, ATC

Adam joined OrthoMemphis in 2015 and brings us 11 years of experience and knowledge in athletic training. His athletic training experience began at the college level as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Bethel and Lambuth Universities for 5 years. He spent the last 5 years taking care of student athletes at Northpoint Christian School. With his experience and knowledge, Adam is prepared to manage almost any medical emergency. He is thrilled to continue to spend his days at Northpoint Christian School taking care of our most important student athletes.

Tina Cole, ATC, LAT, MS

Tina joined OrthoMemphis in 2015 as part of our Sports Medicine Outreach program. Recently, she accepted the position of Head Certified Athletic Trainer for St. George’s Independent School. She will lead our sports medicine partnership taking care of student athletes with injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for all sports.

Prior to working with OrthoMemphis, Tina spent the last 10 years taking care of student athletes at Trinity Christian Academy and South Gibson High school in Jackson, TN and in Memphis at East and White Station High Schools. Tina has experience providing athletic training services to student athletes playing football, soccer, basketball, and baseball.

She received her Master Degree in Arts of Education and Bachelor Degree in Athletic Training from Union University. As a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, she took care of women’s volleyball and softball.

We are excited to have Tina on our team with her wealth of knowledge and expertise in Athletic Training.

K. Cody Tubbs, ATC, MS

Cody joined OrthoMemphis in the fall of 2014 as a certified athletic trainer. As part of our Sports Medicine Outreach Program, he will take care of student athletes at Lausanne Collegiate School. You will find him in the athletic training clinic or on the sidelines treating student athletes at Lausanne.

Prior to joining our team, Cody completed his Masters of Science in Sports Management at the University of Southern Mississippi and his Bachelor in Athletic Training from Arkansas State University. While completing his education, Cody gained great experience covering almost every sport which has prepared him well for covering all of the sports at Lausanne.

Cody is happy to be close to home growing up in DeSoto County and graduating from Horn Lake High School. He and his wife are thrilled to call Southaven home.

Jennifer Dorman, MS, ATC, LAT, CES

Jennifer joined ORTHOMEMPHIS in 2013 and is currently the assistant athletic trainer at Evangelical Christian School (ECS).  Working alongside head athletic trainer, David Dabbs, ATC, she is on hand to cover both practices and games for all sports at ECS. ​Prior to joining ECS full-time, Jennifer gained great experience covering football and basketball at Overton High School.

Jennifer completed her certification for Corrective Exercise Specialist which gives her the expertise in correcting improper form and technique. She is able to provide athletes with an exercise program to improve form and technique which can help them optimize their sports performance. Secondly, she can develop an exercise program for athletes returning from an injury by targeting specific muscles to retain and improve their strength and flexibility, which are the keys to returning an athlete back to the field of play.  

She completed both her Master of Science in Athletic Training and Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her clinical experience includes providing athletic training services to football and basketball programs at Baylor High School, Chattanooga State Community College, and University of Memphis.

Katie E. Perkins, ATC,LAT

With the partnership between ORTHOMEMPHIS and St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School, Katie Perkins, ATC joined ORTHOMEMPHIS sports medicine outreach department in 2012. She is a certified athletic trainer who will be on hand at St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School for practices and games.

Prior to joining OrthoMemphis, Katie spent the last 5 years with Chattanooga State Community College, Girls Preparatory School, and St. Mary’s Episcopal School. Katie graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has clinical experience with almost every sport. She will work together with ORTHOMEMPHIS physicians and physical therapists to ensure that St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School athletes receive the highest quality orthopaedic care.

John Michael Leppert, MS, ATC, LAT, CSCS, CES

John Michael joined ORTHOMEMPHIS in 2012 and is stationed full time at Hutchison School as the Head Athletic Trainer. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he applies scientific knowledge to train his student athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. He can also conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention.

Prior to joining OrthoMemphis, John Michael completed his Master of Science in Sports Medicine at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and his bachelor of science degree in Athletic Training from Erskine College in Due West, SC. He gained great experience taking care of Sand Creek High School athletes in almost every sport and managing a team of 20 athletic training students. He has also provided athletic training services to Universal Cheerleading Association, Universal Dance Association, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs soccer and basketball teams.
