Dr. Murrell is fellowship trained in orthopaedic surgery and neurosurgery of the spine from the prestigious Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, PA. As a collegiate rowing athlete at Harvard, Dr. Murrell understands well the demands of rigorous training for sports, as well as the balance that is needed to optimize sports performance.

As the team doctor for St. Agnes Academy – St. Dominic Schoo, Dr. Murrell has enjoyed taking care of student athletes and their families. He believes that orthopaedic care should be tailored to each patient and include a multidisciplinary approach including treatment, physical therapy, and athletic training. With this approach, patient athletes are able to maintain strength and flexibility throughout their treatment which facilitates a faster return to their sport or activity.
